Removal of birds in a large store or warehouse

When it comes to getting rid of pigeons, we know that you want to get rid of them as soon as possible. The longer they stick around on your property, the more feces they’re leaving around and the more damage that feces could cause. Nobody likes bird poop all over the place, but it’s just as dangerous as it is unsightly, especially when you take the many disease risks it can carry into consideration, too.

If you want to get rid of pigeons from your property or back yard, here are 12 simple yet effective ways that can help:

Bird Netting

Bird netting is not always the greatest tool for this job, and this is more so the case if you already have birds flying around within the building. They could easily become trapped and die, or injured, and in many of these larger spaces, the area that would need to be covered is too large to use netting. You would need a large quantity of the netting, and in some cases, if you have multiple species of birds in the warehouse or large store, you may require different kinds of netting too. Smaller birds will easily fly through the netting with larger holes, designed for larger birds. It’s an easy mistake to make — buying the wrong one — when you are not an expert at such a job. It can prove to be an expensive mistake too. In some cases, this bird netting can be mighty expensive, especially if you have a large area to cover.

Bird Spikes

These are another preventative measure that won't necessarily get the birds out of your warehouse or large store, but will ensure the birds can't find anywhere comfortable to sit. You could install these strip-spikes on top of beams and other up-high structures that the flying creatures would usually land on. When the spikes are installed, the birds can't comfortably land there, therefore they are likely to fly away. If they are unable to find an easy way out of the building, they might not be able to get out at all.

Just as with bird netting, you may require multiple lengths of bird spikes to cover the affected areas entirely. This can get expensive, and they will often be rather tricky to install, especially in hard-to-reach places.

Bird Fogging

This is a technique designed to get rid of birds in a large area, without causing them any harm. The fog itself is said to contain a vile smell to the birds, so they will not want to fly or land anywhere near it. Fogging is a process that can render the building useless for the time that it is taking place, and it is usually only advised in well ventilated areas. Just as with bird spikes and netting (but even more so), bird fogging is a job that is most definitely best left to the professionals.

If you have a problem with birds in your large store or warehouse, we would recommend calling in the experts to ensure the job is done properly. There are a few different approaches that you could take to the problem, but the wrong approach will often be the most expensive and problematic one. The experts will be able to point you in the right direction, and they'll have the right tools for the job too.
